Facsimile Now For The Future

2012/08/30

Towards the end of 2008, Haoyan of America published a print edition of Facsimile Magazine. Noteworthy for being only US$1.00 at the time of publication, only 500 editions of the large format/black & white hard-bound magazine were pressed (the reasoning being that it was the first issue therefore it should only be one dollar).

Facsimile Print fulfilled the original purpose of having Facsimile Magazine exist on paper. Many of its content & articles were received by way of friends of America. The magazine included contributions from writers like Frisbee Jackson & Andrew Choate, an interactive sound feature from Austin Meredith & Sara Ludy, the first SPCMKR pamphlet from Tim Ivison & Nick Lucking, & artwork from various notable artists from around the country. Although Facsimile Print had not officially support advertisments, they happily considered (for a small fee) individuals & organizations who could not express themselves in any other way.

Facsimile Print was a message for our future. It themes trough its anthology of contemporary & past ideas will interest future civilizations to come. Facsimile Print represented a great beginning, but how will it end? ...

Sincerely,

Announcement

The idea behind Facsimile Magazine is a simple one. An online periodical published on a quarterly basis featuring articles and ideas about subjects not found in mainstream media outlets. To achieve this, in correspondence with Haoyan of America, Facsimile will actively search the world for new and interesting things to share. It is our hope that with a correct combination of wit, charm and spirit, Facsimile will fulfill this purpose. It can also be noted that because of its nature as an internet magazine, the online version of Facsimile will feature links to other websites as well as interactive media and will be free for anyone to view, copy or distribute.

The first issue of Facsimile Magazine Quarterly is expected to arrive 2nd Quarter 2007.
